Getting Started with HDGEcalls
From sign-up to your team's first synced call in under an hour. Works on any Android phone with native call recording.
Before You Begin
- Android phones for the team members whose calls you want synced (iOS is not supported — Apple restricts third-party call recording access)
- A dialer with native call recording enabled (Samsung, Xiaomi MIUI, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo — all supported). Google Dialer users have a manual share-sheet path covered in Sync Flow.
- A business email to sign up at calls.hdgelabs.com/signup
- Consent from the people whose calls will be recorded — see Compliance & Security for what's required in your jurisdiction
Onboarding Steps
Create your HDGEcalls workspace
Go to calls.hdgelabs.com/signup. You sign up as the company admin — you'll provision sub-accounts for team members from inside the dashboard.
The Free tier includes 5 phone users and 200 minutes/month of synced + transcribed calls. No credit card required.
Add your company details
In Onboarding, fill in your company name, headcount, primary use case (sales / support / both), and the consent language your team will use with customers. This shapes the dashboard's default views and the auto-generated consent banner.
Provision team members
In Team, invite each phone user. For each one you set: name, mobile number (E.164 format, e.g. +919812345678), and role. The dashboard sends them an invite email with their app login.
Install the HDGEcalls Android app
Download the APK from Dashboard → Devices → Download app. The app is sideload-only (not on the Play Store) because Google Play policy restricts apps that read the call log. The APK is signed and version-pinned.
Detailed install + permission steps are under Android App Setup.
Make a test call
Call someone briefly, hang up, and wait for the dialer to save the recording. The HDGEcalls background sync runs every 15 minutes by default — your test call should appear in Dashboard → Calls within 15–30 minutes, with the transcript a few minutes later.
Invite the rest of the team
Once one device is verified end-to-end, batch-invite the rest. Each team member follows the same install flow on their phone.
